1. The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

2. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.

1. How can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in 　　your own eye?

你自己眼中有梁木，怎能對你弟兄說，容我去掉你眼中的刺呢。--《新·太》

2. First take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's 　　eye.
