Richard Blechnyden wanted to promote Indian tea in the St. Lou World Fair in 1904. It was very hot and no one wanted to sample h tea. Blechnyden saw that all the other iced drinks were doing flourhing business. It dawned on him to make h tea into an iced drink, mix in sugar and sell it. He did and people loved it. That was the introduction of iced tea to the world.

It  well that young men should begin at the beginning and occupy the most subordinate positions. Many of the leading businessmen of Pittsburgh had a serious responsibility thrust upon them at the very threshold of their career. They were introduced to the broom, and spent the first hours of their business lives sweeping out the office. I notice we have janitors and janitresses now in offices, and our young men unfortunately ms that salutary branch of business education. But if by chance the professional sweeper  absent any morning, the boy who has the genius of the future partner in him will not hesitate to try h hand at the broom. The other day a fond fashionable mother in Michigan asked a young man whether he had ever seen a lady sweep in a room so grandly as her Prcilla. He said no, he never had ,and the mother was gratified beyond measure, but then said he ,after a pause, “What I should like to see her do  sweep out a room” It does not hurt the newest comer to sweep out the office if necessary. I was one of those sweepers myself.

Assuming that you have all obtained employment and are fairly started, my advice to you  “aim high”。 I would not give a fig for the young man who does not already see himself the partner or the head of an important firm. Do not rest content for a moment in your thoughts as head clerk, or foreman, or general manager in any concern, no matter how extensive. Say to yourself ，“My place  at the top.” Be king in your dreams.

And here  the prime condition of success, the great secret: concentrate your energy, thought, and capital exclusively upon the business in which you are engaged. Having begun in one line, resolve to fight it out on that line, to lead in it, adopt every improvement, have the best machinery, and know the most about it.

The concerns which fail are those which have scattered their capital, which means that they have scattered their brains also. They have investments in th, or that, or the other, here there, and everywhere. “Don't put all your eggs in one basket.”  all wrong. I tell you to “put all your eggs in one basket, and then watch that basket.” Look round you and take notice, men who do that not often fail. It  easy to watch and carry the one basket. It  trying to carry too many baskets，which break most eggs in th country. He who carries three baskets must put one on h head, which  apt to tumble and trip him up. One fault of the American businessman  lack of concentration.

To summarize what I have said: aim for the highest; never enter a bar room; do not touch liquor, or if at all only at meals; never speculate; never indorse beyond your surplus cash fund; make the firm's interest yours; break orders always to save owners; concentrate; put all your eggs in one basket, and watch that basket; expenditure always within revenue; lastly, be not impatient, for as Emerson says, “no one can cheat you out of ultimate success but yourselves.”

Success comes to those who are willing to rk making mtakes in the pursuit of their goals and aspirations, and who are able to learn from those mtakes. And in order to learn from mtakes you must be willing to pay for them.

Mtakes can be enormously valuable, but when you try to get others to pay for your mtakes, then you deprive yourself of the opportunity to learn from them. When something goes wrong, it's usually very easy to find someone else to blame, but what does that really accomplh?

Much of the value of mtakes comes from the fact that they demand a cost that must be paid. The person who learns the most from a mtake  the person who pays the price for that mtake.

When you make a mtake, the lastthing you want to do  run away from it. You need to accept it because you can learn a lot from it. The mtake has been made, so make the most of it. Pay the price, learn the lesson, and grow that much stronger.

When you make a mtake, don't look back at it long. Remember the reason for it, and then look forward. Mtakes are lessons of wdom. The past cannot be changed. The present  still in your power. Take full advantage of your mtakes to achieve your goals and aspirations.

We have multiplied out possessions,but reduced out values;

We talk much,we love only a little,and we hate too much;

We reached the Moon and came back,but we find it troublesome to cross our own street and meet our neighbors;

We have conquered the uter space,but not our inner space;

We have highter income,but less morals;

These are times with more liberty,but less joy;

We have much more food,but less nutrition;

These are the days in which it takes two salaries for each home,but divorces increase;

These are times of finer houses,but more broken homes;

That's why I propose,that as of today;

You do not keep anything for a special use every day that you live  a SPECIAL OCCASION.

Search for knowledge,read more ,sit on your porch and admire the view without paying attention to your needs;

Spend more time with your family and friends,eat your favorite foods,vit the places you love;

Life  a chain of moments of enjoyment;not only about survival;

Use your crystal not save your best perfume,and use it every time you feel you want it.

Remove from your vocabulary phrases like"one of these days"or "someday";

Let's write that letter we thought of writing "one of these days"!

Let's tell our families and friends how much we love them;

Do not delay anything that adds laughter and joy to your life;

Every day,every hour,and every minute  special;

And you don't know if it will be your last.
